Definition of a Lie-in

Hi,

I was reading a couple things, and realised that I may be taking a few things too far.

To me a lie-in in the morning means getting up at the crack of noon ie 12.   Am I wrong in thinking this is a good thing ?
Amazes me when people talk about a lie in they mean 8-9 in the morning,

Maybe I should re-think my "Lie-in" status, and get up earlier.  When I told my work collegues they thought I was a bit lazy on my days off.

What are people's opinions of this ?

Aww on having to get up real early each day :( When I work days, I have to get up by half five to get ready for work and travel there.

I do find if I have something to do that day, I get up early but usually on my days off I do not have anything planned.

Hi Darren,

I really wouldn't fancy your job, how long does it take you to get to work?
At least while Im up early, I don't have actually have to go anywhere, I can stay in my jammies and drink coffee until I wake up properly.
I suddenly no longer mind my lack of lie-ins so much ;o)

Hi,

I work shifts, for example I have 5 day shifts from 7am to 7pm from tomorrow, so that's enjoying the weekend out the window. After that I have 2 days off then 4 night shifts hours are 7pm to 7am.

Its a very horrible shift pattern, but pays OK for Maidstone. Should look for a nice *normal* weekday job to be honest.

So for days I get up at 05:30am and nights its 05:30pm.

I am a Deputy Shift Leader working for a company called Capita.

Job involves monitoring servers of clients, All extremely boring tbh.

Yes, lots and lots of computers.

Some contracts I can tell you that we do, Teachers pensions, and some local council things.
